Get out there: Rock Chalk Park Trails
The City of Lawrence maintains more than 4 miles of trails at the Rock Chalk Park complex in West Lawrence. This includes almost a mile of concrete trail and more than 3 miles of gravel (aggregate) trails.
See the trail map for details. Red- and green-dashed trails are gravel (aggregate), and run through an undeveloped natural area. The blue-dashed trails are 10-foot paved. The solid blue line on the map is Baldwin Creek.
The gravel (aggregate) trails are suitable for walking, running and mountain/gravel biking. They have a few steep grades, especially near trailheads, and are generally not wheelchair accessible.
Concrete trails throughout the Rock Chalk Park complex are accessible for people of all abilities.
Though not shown own this map, the Lawrence Loop runs along the western and northern perimeter Rock Chalk Park.
