  6. Iowa Street Crossing — 2023 & 24

The total amount of funding allocated to Lawrence Loop projects within the Capital Improvement Plan is $9,997,000.

A study beginning in 2013 was completed. Public meetings were held in 2017 and the Capital Improvement Plan for years 2023-2027 was recently approved.

The Lawrence Loop is a mostly 10 foot wide Shared-Use Path surrounding the city that was identified in the Countywide Bikeway Plan in 2013. The loop construction began over 20 years ago and the City has added a number of segments since then. The goal of the loop is to accommodate residents and visitors of all ages and abilities and serve people who are walking, biking, or using assistive devices.

The report includes history of the Loop and the proposed plan that identifies options for future loop construction. Details of the approved CIP for 2023-27 are on pages 58-62.
