The South Lawrence Trafficway from Haskell to Iowa passes under K-10, then turns West following the northern border of Baker Westlands. It follows the retaining wall along K-10 and includes excellent views of the wetlands. The Baker Wetlands is a a rich ecosystem that is home to 487 identified species of plants, 278 species of birds, and 98 other animal species.
Along this section of the Loop there are options for connecting with the wetlands gavel trails or turning North and passing under K-10 to Broken Arrow Park and Louisiana Street.
The trail goes up a hill at the Wetlands Discovery Center then turns North at Michigan Street passing over K-10 then turning West at the Nest Townhomes. The trail continues to Iowa Street south of Crown Automotive. Exercise caution passing at Iowa Street if you wish to continue on the Lawrence Loop Segment 5: Iowa Street to the Arboretum.
